She’s a local kid that plays with a lot of passion and knows what being a part of the Big Blue Nation is all about.” Whilst playing for East Jessamine High School just outside of Lexington, Ky., Rainwater was named the 2015 Kentucky 2-A State Player of the Year, after batting over .330 in her senior season. She was named a 2015 participant of the Kentucky High School East/West All-Star game representing Region XII.
