Kentucky Softball Selected For Seven Nationally Televised Games
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team has been selected for seven nationally-televised games in the 2026 season, ESPN announced Monday afternoon. The Wildcats will play six of its seven national TV games at John Cropp Stadium, which is also the site for the 2026 Southeastern Conference Softball Tournament in May.
Six of the seven games that Kentucky will play on linear television will be on SEC Network with the Wildcats also having a game on ESPN2 in mid-April. Four of Kentucky’s eight SEC series will have at least one game televised. The Wildcats will have games against Florida, Tennessee, Alabama and Texas featured.
Two midweek contests will be televised on SEC Network for the Wildcats including the annual Battle of the Bluegrass on March 25 at 5:30 p.m. ET and another interstate match-up with UK hosting Morehead State on Wednesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. ET from John Cropp Stadium.
Kentucky’s first ESPN matchup will come on March 14 as UK hosts Florida at Noon ET on SEC Network. That is opening weekend at home of SEC play for the Wildcats with the match-up against UL previously mentioned as Kentucky’s other March TV game.
The final two games of Kentucky’s series with Tennessee will air live on SEC Network including Sunday, April 12 at 6 p.m. ET and Monday night, April 13 at 7 p.m. ET. The April 13 game will be the continuation of “Mic’d Up Monday” where head coach Rachel Lawson will be mic’d up for the contest.
Kentucky’s lone road TV game will come on Friday, April 17 at Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where UK will play the Crimson Tide at 6 p.m. ET live on ESPN2. The defending national champion Texas Longhorns will conclude the regular season in Lexington on Friday, April 24 at 6 p.m. ET on SEC Network against the Wildcats.
ESPN will air every pitch of the 2026 SEC Softball Tournament live on its airwaves from John Cropp Stadium in Lexington with the SEC Network carrying early round action and the championship game being aired on ESPN on Saturday afternoon from the Bluegrass.
