Six Wildcats Named to Preseason Coaches All-SEC Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Six Kentucky Wildcats were named to the Preseason All-Southeastern Conference Football Team by the league’s coaches, it was announced Thursday.  Juniors Barion Brown (return specialist), Maxwell Hairston and Deone Walker were named to the first team, while senior offensive linemen Eli Cox and Marques Cox were tabbed on the third team. Senior inside linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson also earned a nod on the third team, along with Brown as an all-purpose player.

The Wildcats begin the 2024 season Saturday, Aug. 31 when Kentucky plays host to Southern Miss at 7:45 p.m. ET at Kroger Field. The game will be aired live on SEC Network with Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic calling the action. The game also will be aired on the UK Sports Radio Network with Tom Leach, Jeff Piecoro and Dick Gabriel.
