Kentucky Softball Hosts Big Blue Boo on Friday Night vs. Miami (OH)
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team will host its annual Big Blue Boo on Friday evening at John Cropp Stadium to put a final bow on its 2023 fall competition season. The gates to John Cropp Stadium will open at 6:30 p.m. ET to the festivities around the concourse, with first pitch scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
Admission to the event is free to all fans.
The game will be televised live on SEC Network+ and the ESPN app with Dave Baker and former Arizona All-American, Jenny Dalton-Hill, on the call from John Cropp Stadium. For information on how to access the SEC Network+, check secsports.com. The SEC Network+ telecast will begin at 7:50 p.m. ET on the SEC Network+ and ESPN app.
Parking will be first-come, first-served and free of charge in the John Cropp Stadium lots beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET. There will be a free shuttle from the surrounding overflow parking lots to the front entrance of John Cropp Stadium running through the end of the game, and after the game, as well.
In the concourse, fans will be treated to fun games and prizes including cornhole, BINGO, face painting, photo booths, limitless candy, basketball, carnival-style concession stands, food trucks, a costume contest, in-game promotions – and more. During the game, fans will have opportunities to participate in in-between inning promotions, contests and win prizes.
Kentucky and Miami (OH) have met in the NCAA Tournament each of the last two seasons with UK holding a 2-1 record against the RedHawks. The game will be a full seven-inning game with proper NCAA rules followed as closely as possible. The final score is not official, as it is a fall exhibition competition.
