Grace Lorsung and Kyndal Tinnell Transfer Into Kentucky Softball
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball announced the addition of two transfers to its roster for the 2022-23 academic school year Friday morning with Grace Lorsung joining from Indiana and Kyndal Tinnell coming in from Jacksonville State.
Grace Lorsung
After two years as a catcher/infielder at Indiana University, Grace Lorsung joins Kentucky after being First Team All-Big Ten in 2021 and playing in 45 games for the Hoosiers in 2022. Lorsung is a native of New Palestine, Indiana and hit .274 in her freshman campaign with three home runs and 20 RBI.
Lorsung played in 45 games for IU in the 2022 season, starting in 34 of them with six runs scored, 16 hits and five extra-base hits including four doubles and a homer.
Kyndal Tinnell
Transferring in from Jacksonville State, Kyndal Tinnell returns home to her native Bluegrass to dawn the Kentucky jersey as a sophomore for the 2023 season. The Louisville, Kentucky native spent her freshman season at JSU, where she played in 16 games for the Gamecocks.
A graduate of Butler HS, she recorded a pair of hits for JSU, scored a run and had a walk in her 21 plate appearances. While at Butler, she was a three-time All-State selection, garnering first-team honors in her senior year of 2021.
The 2022 Kentucky Softball fall schedule will be released later this summer.
