Kentucky Women’s Tennis Hosts Alabama, No. 21 Auburn
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team is set to host a pair of Southeastern Conference teams this weekend, as it prepares for Alabama on Friday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. ET and No. 21 Auburn on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. ET. Both contests will take place inside the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center.
Admission to all home tennis matches is free, and fans are encouraged to attend. Capacity at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center is limited to 50 spectators, and it will be based on a first come, first serve basis. Face coverings, over the nose and mouth, are required for all fans as they enter, exit and move around the building, and all patrons will be required to take a temperature check upon entry.
Free parking options include the three small E-lots adjacent to the facility 1.5 hours prior to first serve. Spectators may also pay to park in the Sports Center Garage (PS No. 7) on the corner of Complex Drive and Sport Center Drive. The cost of parking is $2 per hour, with a $16 maximum.

Kentucky is 8-1 this season and 0-1 in the league after falling to No. 23 LSU, 4-3, in its conference home opener last weekend. Akvile Paražinskaite leads the team with a 9-0 record on the No. 1 singles court and a 5-0 record on the No. 1 doubles court, paired with rookie Fiona Arrese. Meanwhile, Paražinskaite has a ranked win in both singles and doubles to start the season, defeating No. 41 Taylor Bridges of LSU in singles (4-6, 6-2, 6-2) and No. 30 Jutte Von Hansewyck-Liz Stefancic of Marshall in doubles (6-1).
Overall, Kentucky boasts an 18-1 record on the doubles courts and a 46-8 record on the singles courts thus far this season.
Alabama is 9-3 this season, including 0-2 in the league after falling at home to No. 22 Florida (4-1) and No. 20 South Carolina (4-2). Auburn is 7-1 this season, including 2-0 in the league, collecting triumphs over No. 22 Florida (4-2) and No. 20 South Carolina (4-2). The Wildcats lead the all-time series with the Crimson Tide, 29-15, and the Tigers, 26-14.
