No. 14 Kentucky Hosts No. 15 LSU at John Cropp Stadium
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following a dramatic 6-5 win in nine innings over Louisvile in the annual Battle of the Bluegrass on Wednesday night, the No. 14 Kentucky Wildcats will continue their four-game homestand over the weekend as UK welcomes the No. 15/17 LSU Tigers to Lexington for a three-game Southeastern Conference series at John Cropp Stadium.
Game one will be shown live on the SEC Network+ with Dave Baker and Jenny Dalton-Hill on the call Friday night at 6 p.m. ET. Games two (4 p.m. ET) and three (Noon ET) will be televised live on ESPN2 with Kevin Brown and Amanda Scarbrough on the call.
Autumn Humes picked up her 15th win of the season in the circle for Kentucky on Wednesday night, as she ups her record to 15-5, the fifth-best start to a single season by a pitcher in Kentucky Softball annals. Humes went the final six innings of the game, allowing two runs on five hits, walking two and striking out five.
Kayla Kowalik continued her school-record hit streak Wednesday night, going 3-for-5 at the plate with a double and a pair of singles. Her streak is now at 21 and she is hitting .534 on the season.
UK has won eight of the last 10 games against LSU in the series.
