Kentucky Softball Announces 2019-20 Open Tryout Information

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky softball team has announced the protocol to participate in the team’s 2019-20 open tryout.
 
Those considering attending the tryout should first reach out with their interest by emailing kentuckysoftball@uky.edu to get more information.
 
The mandatory tryout meeting will be on Friday, August 23 at 9 a.m. ET inside the conference room of the UK Soccer/Softball offices at 556 Wildcat Ct. in Lexington. Those interested are required to attend the meeting to discuss tryout protocol and collect necessary paperwork. 
 
The tryout is open to all full-time, academically-eligible UK students that meet NCAA requirements to compete in women’s softball.
 
At the meeting, those interested in trying out will receive a checklist card of all tasks to complete before the physical tryout. The student will be required to have the following completed before the tryout (not the administrative meeting): a current physical, sickle cell test and full-time enrollment verification.
 
It is preferred, but not required, the student is registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center. To register, visit: www.ncaaeligibilitycenter.org. 
 
The date of the tryout will be announced at a later time after consultation with interested parties in an effort to work around class schedules.
