by Chris Shoals

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following a 31-win regular season, the 10th-straight 30+ win season for Kentucky under Rachel Lawson, the Wildcats will now turn their attention to the NCAA Tournament, beginning with the 2018 Lexington Regional to be contested at John Cropp Stadium on May 18-20 in the bluegrass.

The Wildcats played a schedule that featured 25 ranked opponents and ended up being ranked as the No. 2 toughest schedule in the nation. UK was selected as a host site for the NCAA Tournament and earned a national seed for the third-straight year and fifth time in the last six seasons.

The networks of ESPN will carry all six (if necessary, seven) games of the Lexington Regional this weekend with Courtney Lyle (pxp) and former Arizona All-American and national champion Jenny Dalton-Hill on the call from Lexington.

UK will be joined in Lexington by Michigan, an at-large selection from the Big 10; Notre Dame, an at-large selection from the ACC; and Illinois-Chicago, the automatic qualifier from the Horizon League.

The regional is double-elimination and kicks off on Friday at Noon ET with (2) Michigan facing (3) Notre Dame at Noon ET on ESPN2. (1) Kentucky begins play at 2:30 p.m. ET vs. (4) UIC live on ESPN3 and ESPN+.

All-session tickets and single-session tickets are now on sale online through UKathletics.com/NCAATickets.
