Kentucky Softball Poster Named Best in the Nation for 2017

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky softball poster for the 2017 season has been named as the best in the nation, it was announced by PosterSwag on Wednesday afternoon through social media.
The 2017 softball poster features all 21 players on Kentucky’s current roster headlined by seniors Meagan Prince, Shannon Smith, Breanne Ray and sophomore Abbey Cheek. There are four key words in the poster that spell out “CATS” with the C represented by the word confidence, A represented by aggression, T represented by tradition and S represented by sacrifice –the four key words for the team in 2017.
The winning artwork was designed by Asst. Creative Director, Matt Taylor, who is in his second year at UK and also works with the Kentucky men’s soccer, women’s basketball, volleyball, gymnastics and rifle teams. The concept of the poster was generated by Marketing Director, Kate Stoess, who is also in her second year at Kentucky and works with the women’s basketball team in addition to volleyball. The pictures used in the poster were shot by UK staff photographers Britney Howard and Chet White.
Kentucky continues its season on Friday night at John Cropp Stadium as the Wildcats host the Arkansas Razorbacks at 6 p.m. ET.
