Kentucky Softball Announces 2016 Fall Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. –After a banner year
for the Kentucky Softball team in 2016, head coach Rachel Lawson, who enters
her 10th year at the helm in Lexington, announced her team’s fall slate of
games on Tuesday afternoon.
The Wildcats will play seven games over the
latter part of September and into late October, with five of the seven games
coming at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington. Entrance to all home fall games will
be free of charge to fans.
The fall slate begins on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 1
p.m. ET as UK hosts Lake Land (IL) college for the fall opener.
Lincoln Memorial will pay a visit to Lexington
on Friday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. ET to close out UK’s four-game homestand to start
the season.
Kentucky’s road games will come at Lawson’s
old stomping grounds, Bowling Green, Ky., against Vol State and WKU. WKU and UK will play a doubleheader on Oct. 16 starting at 1 p.m.
ET.
The conclusion of the fall slate comes at John
Cropp Stadium on Friday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. ET against in-state foe Georgetown.

Oct. 15 – vs. Vol State, 3 p.m. ET

Oct. 16 – at Western Kentucky, 1pm ET/3pm ET (DH) (Bowling Green, Ky.)
Oct. 21 – vs. Georgetown, 6 p.m. ET (John
Cropp Stadium, Lexington, Ky.)
