LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky softball head coach Rachel Lawson, who is the winningest head coach in program history, has announced that the UK softball program will hold an open tryout session for the 2014-15 academic year on Monday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. ET at John Cropp Stadium.

The tryout session is open to all full-time, academically eligible UK students. Those interested are required to attend a meeting on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. ET at John Cropp Stadium to discuss tryout protocol and collect necessary paperwork.

Prior to the tryout, the student is required to have the following completed: physical, sickle cell test and full-time enrollment verification. It is preferred, but not required, the student is registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center. To register, visit: www.ncaaeligibilitycenter.org.
