LEXINGTON, Ky. – With the Kentucky softball team set to host the school’s first Super Regional this weekend in a matchup with No. 7 seed California, the Lexington area has responded in tremendous fashion. An allotment of more than 1,200 tickets per day has officially been sold out as of Tuesday, May 24.

The UK ticket office is no longer taking requests for tickets for this weekend’s best-of-three series, and the UK Softball Complex cannot accommodate standing-room only ticket sales.

Fans still wishing to see the Wildcats in action can tune into the ESPN family of networks. Saturday’s game slated for a Noon ET start will air on ESPNU with live action from Lexington. Sunday’s game beginning at 1 p.m. ET is set to air on ESPN. The if necessary game slated for 3:30 p.m. ET is also scheduled to air on ESPN. Mark Neely and Jennie Ritter will call the action for all three games this weekend.

Gates will open an hour prior to game time Saturday and Sunday.

Furthermore, UK fans can tune into local radio for the historical weekend. WLAP 630 in Lexington and WKJK 1080 in Louisville will also air all three games live. Dick Gabriel and Jenny Dalton-Hill will be on air to broadcast the action.

Kentucky (39-14) is making the school’s first NCAA Super Regional appearance in school history after going 3-0 last weekend in Ann Arbor, Mich. UK captured three victories including a walk-off seventh inning rally to upset the host No. 2 Wolverines.
