LEXINGTON, Ky. –

Head Coach Rachel Lawson and her staff had made a few changes to the 2009 softball schedule due in part to games being lost from inclement weather.

After UK had two rainouts against Louisiana-Lafayette and Maryland, the Wildcats have added an extra game with Western Kentucky on March 26th.

Western Kentucky and UK will now play a doubleheader beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET. Originally, the date was slated for just a single game.

Additionally, UK’s game with Mississippi State on Saturday, April 25th has a new start time. The Bulldogs and Wildcats will begin an hour earlier with first pitch now occurring at noon.

UK-Florida to be televised by Cox Sports
The Wildcats play host to No. 2 Florida for a three-game series April 10-11. The April 11th game is set to be broadcast by Florida’s Cox Sports. It is the first televised game of the season for the Blue and White. First pitch is set for noon on that Saturday. Complete coverage of the UK softball team can be found at UKathletics.com.
