LEXINGTON, Ky. ? Due to the threat of inclement weather the University of Kentucky softball tournament, the Frostbite Classic, has been cancelled for this weekend.

Three teams were set to play in the third annual event; Valparaiso and Longwood were scheduled to join Kentucky in the six-game event. The threat of accumulation of winter weather in the Lexington area has forced the cancellation of play.

Kentucky (9-8, 0-0), has won seven of their last eight games and will next be in action when they begin Southeastern Conference action. UK is scheduled to travel to Knoxville, Tenn., March 15-16 to play No. 4/6 Tennessee.
