The University of Kentucky softball team takes a break from Southeastern Conference action as the Wildcats travel to Bowling Green, Ky. for a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 25, at the WKU Softball Field. The first game is set for 5 p.m.UK (24-27) is looking to regain its winning ways after dropping three games to fifth-ranked LSU in Baton Rouge last weekend. Western Kentucky is 18-28 on the year.

Kentucky defeated the Lady Toppers 11-3 at the UK Softball Complex in their only meeting last season.

Junior shortstop Angie Dal Pozzo leads the Wildcats at the plate with a .359 batting average, seven home runs, and 36 RBI. Rookie hurler Monique Lovell has won three of four decisions while dropping her ERA to a team-leading 2.89. Sophomore Morgan Marr leads the Wildcat pitching staff with 15 wins on the season.
