The Kentucky softball team steps out of Southeastern Conference play as the Wildcats travel to Louisville for a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 18, at Ulmer Field. Action gets underway at 5 p.m.

“We are really looking forward to our rematch with Louisville,” UK coach Beth Kirchner said. “Our first contest this year left us with something to prove.”

Louisville defeated the Wildcats 10-1 in the final game of the UKIT just over a month ago. UK (22-24, 7-12 SEC) has won four of its last five games, including two victories over No. 19 (USA Today/NFCA) South Carolina last weekend

Junior shortstop Angie Dal Pozzo leads the Wildcats at the plate with a .353 batting average and six home runs. Sophomore hurler Morgan Marr leads the Wildcat pitching staff with 14 wins on the season and an ERA of 2.81.
