The University of Kentucky softball team continues its 10-game road swing this week, as the Wildcats are scheduled to play six games in two states over the next four days.

The Wildcats are coming off a 1-0 victory at SEC rival Georgia this past Sunday and play their first non-conference road doubleheader since claiming two wins at Morehead State on March 25.

UK travels to Chattanooga, Tenn., on Wednesday to face the Lady Mocs. Chattanooga enters Wednesday’s doubleheader on a roll, having won five straight and 12 of their last 14 for a 30-12 overall record. The two contests will be the Lady Mocs’ first at home since March 3 and just their 13th and 14th this season.

Following the Chattanooga doubleheader, the Wildcats travel to Mississippi for a doubleheaders against both Mississippi State and Mississippi this weekend.

UK meets Mississippi State in a Friday doubleheader in a re-match of the SEC’s longest-ever game. The Wildcats and Bulldogs squared off in an 11-inning, two hour and forty minute marathon last April, with State eventually prevailing 12-7. The Bulldogs enter the weekend’s action with a 20-14 record, 8-6 in the SEC, but play host to Delta State on Wednesday. The Wildcats close-out their 10-game road trip at Mississippi on Saturday.

The Rebels have lost eight straight and 12 of their last 13 games, all to SEC opponents, for a 18-32 record, 2-14 in the SEC. UK returns home next Wednesday, April 15, when the Wildcats play host to Chattanooga at the UK Softball Stadium.
