LEXINGTON, Kty.–The University of Kentucky softball team will play host to Evansville onTuesday at the UK Softball Complex.

The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

Sophomore Leslie Kwaitkowski is the top hitter for UK (21-32, 4-12 SEC)with a .402 batting average. The native of South Bend, Ind., also leadsthe Wildcats in runs (35), hits (66), home runs (6), RBI (37), and totalbases (98). She had another solid weekend, going 6-12 with four RBIagainst Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

Evansville (38-15) enters Tuesday’s game having won four of its last sixgames.

The Purple Aces are led by Kristy Crain and Jessica Huff. Crain ishitting .367 with 61 hits and 16 doubles this season. Huff owns a .358batting average and has hit eleven round-trippers. She also leadsEvansville with 46 RBI and a slugging percentage of .642.

As a team, the Purple Aces are hitting .280 compared to UK’s .270.

Pitcher Mattie Ross is having a stellar year for Evansville. Ross is 18-9this season and has pitched six shutouts. She also has 165 strikeouts withan earned run average of 1.02.

Evansville leads the overall series between the two schools, 2-0. UK fellto the Purple Aces last year in Evansville, 2-0 and 10-2.
