Kentucky Cheer Camps Information
Camps/Clinics Tab:
Throughout the year the University of Kentucky Cheerleading program will host different types of clinics/camps. Please review the follow types to make sure you are signing up for the best type for you and your goals.
Recruitment clinics – These are aimed at 8th grade – college student-athletes who are hoping to earn a bid to try out for our program. These are our main recruiting tool for our Blue and White Squads. The Kentucky Cheerleading Program has TWO coed teams with positions for male bases and female flyers. We do not have an all-girl team. Please look through the “About” section on our website for more information on joining our team https://ukathletics.com/news/2020/12/18/about-the-uk-cheerleading-program/ We are an ELITE college cheerleading program and these clinics are aimed at recruiting those athletes for our team. We will be stunting and tumbling at these clinics and evaluating those skills.
Skills Clinic – These are aimed at 6th grade – college student-athletes that are looking to perfect gameday, tumbling, jumping and stunting skills. These will move at a different pace than recruitment clinics and are designed to instruct more than evaluate. There will be options for coed stunting class and multi-base class.
Youth Camps – These are aimed at K-5th graders and typically held during the summer. These are for beginners up to elite level athletes. We will have stunt class with coed and multi-base opportunities, jump class, cheer class and dance class.
Youth Days – These are camps designed to teach material that we will be performing at either a football game or a basketball game. They are for K-8th grade.
