LEXINGTON, Ky. – A program-record eight University of Kentucky softball regular-season games have been selected for national television across the ESPN family of networks, including three games on either ESPN2 or ESPNU, it was announced Wednesday by ESPN and the Southeastern Conference.

Kentucky, which is coming off its best season in program history after a trip to the Women’s College World Series last spring, will play on the new SEC Network five times, ESPNU twice and ESPN2 once. Seven of the eight games selected are conference games for the Wildcats, while UK’s game with Indiana is the lone non-conference game on TV. UK is one of four teams in the conference to be selected for three or more games on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.

Four of the games televised will be played at John Cropp Stadium, including vs. Indiana (March 18) on SEC Network, vs. LSU (March 28) on SEC Network, vs. Alabama (April 4) on ESPNU and vs. Alabama (April 5) on SEC Network. The Wildcats will also be showcased on the road at Texas A&M (March 8) on SEC Network, at Florida (April 13) on SEC Network, at Tennessee (May 2) on ESPNU and at Tennessee (May 3) on ESPN2.

In addition to the nationally televised games, all conference games not picked up by ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network – home or away – are scheduled to be broadcast live on the SEC Network+ except for UK’s battle vs. Tennessee on May 1 in Knoxville. All games at John Cropp Stadium this season are scheduled for SEC Network+, including non-conference games.

At the conclusion of the regular season, the entire SEC Softball Tournament will be televised across ESPN networks. The first round and quarterfinals will be carried on SEC Network, semifinals on ESPNU and the championship game on ESPN2.
