Kentucky Softball’s 2022 Opening-Weekend Schedule Unveiled

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team announced its opening-weekend schedule for the 2022 season Monday morning as UK will play six games against four power-five teams at the inaugural Northern Lights Southern Nights Tournament in Leesburg, Florida.
 
Kentucky will open its season Thursday night, Feb. 10 vs. Wisconsin, one of three Big Ten teams that the Wildcats will face in the tournament to kick off the 2022 season.
 
UK will play two games on Friday, Feb. 11, facing Michigan State at 1 p.m. ET and Liberty directly following that at 3:30 p.m. ET.
 
Hofstra and Kentucky will commence play Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. ET before the Wildcats play their third B1G team, Iowa, at 12:30 p.m. ET that day.
 
The tournament closes with a match-up of two teams that made the 2021 NCAA Super Regionals as UK will face Virginia Tech on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 10:30 a.m. ET.
 
All games of the tournament will take place at the Sleepy Hollow Softball Complex in Leesburg, Florida.
