MB Podcast: Lawson's Softball Journey a Unique One

by Guy Ramsey

Rachel Lawson took a unique path to her role as the head coach of Kentucky softball

She grew up in Montana as a member of a huge family and suffered numerous knee injuries in middle and high school, but found her way to Massachusetts to play softball anyway. A couple decades later, Lawson is one of the most successful coaches in the country, having led UK to a Women’s College World Series appearance and six trips to super regionals in the last eight season.

This week, Lawson joined the Mitch Barnhart Podcast to talk to her athletics director about her journey, as well as her perspective on leadership and the success of her former players.
