LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky softball player Leslie Kwiatkowski was named tothe NFCA All-South Region second-team this week by the South Region coaches.She is the first UK player to be earn all-region honors.

Kwiatkowski, a native of South Bend, Ind., was selected first-teamAll-Southeastern Conference this season after breaking several UK single-seasonincluding batting average (.398), hits (80), RBI (50), runs (43), sluggingpercentage (.572), and on-base percentage (.440).

The junior helped the Cats win a school record 36 games and capture theSEC Eastern Division Championship for the first time in school history.

Eight players from the SEC were selected first-team all-region, whilefive made the second-team including Kwiatkowski.
