LEXINGTON, Kty. – University of Kentucky softball player Leslie Kwiatkowski has been namedto the GTE Academic All-America softball second team. The South Bend, Ind.,native was a second-team GTE All-District selection in 1999 and first-teamAll-District selection in 2000.

Kwiatkowski, a junior accounting major, broke six UK single-season marksthis year and earned first-team All-Southeastern Conference honors. She wasa second-team All-South Region selection this year.

Kwiatkowski has also been selected to the Midwestern All-Star team thatwill play an exhibition game against the 2000 United States OlympicSoftball Team. The doubleheader will take place on Sunday, June 18 in SouthBend, Ind.
