The teams have returned to Bogle Park and are warming back up. Play is set to resume at 5:45 p.m. ET.
UPDATE 3:28 ET
Teams have been sent back to their hotels and will return to the field no sooner than 5:30 p.m. ET due to tornado activity in the area.
UPDATE 3:03 ET
With rain and lightning lingering in the Fayetteville, Ark., area Southeastern Conference officials have decided to push back a decision of a restart time for at least another hour.
According to SEC Tournament rules a full seven inning game must be played to be considered a complete game.
More information will be provided as it becomes available.
UPDATE 2:13 ET
With the Kentucky softball team leading by a 1-0 score in the top of the seventh over LSU in the quarterfinals of the Southeastern Conference tournament, play was suspended as rain and lightning moved into the Fayetteville, Ark., area at 2:12 ET.
Molly Johnson’s home run in the top of the fourth is the only offense of the game thus far. UK was threatening in the top of the seventh with two runners aboard and just one out when play was suspended.
Once Southeastern Conference officials determine conditions are playable the game will resume as it stood in the top of the seventh.
