Madyson Clark has announced that she will be transferring into the Kentucky Softball program with two years of eligibility remaining. Clark, who hails from Claremont, California, comes to Kentucky after a two-year stint with Oregon State University in Corvallis.
A primary designated player for the Beavers last season, Clark hit .271 with four home runs and 12 runs batted in and 42 total bases. She had an OPS of .774, earning a starting role in 34 of the Beavers 36 games on the 2024 season. Clark notched 26 hits, scored 19 runs, logged four doubles as part of her eight extra-base hits last year with a pair of stolen bases and drew seven walks.
“Madyson Clark is someone who shines the brightest when the moments are the most important,” UK head coach Rachel Lawson said. “When we were evaluating her, one of the things that stuck out was how her biggest hits came in the clutch spots against elite pitchers when game-changing plays were on the line. She will be an important bat in the order that will produce in the big moments.”
Clark started 44 of 45 games for Oregon State in her freshman campaign for the Beavers with primary time being spent at second base. She drove in eight runs during that season, had her first-career home run go over the fence and had back-to-back games vs. Oregon and Stanford with multi-hit games.
The native of Claremont, California and graduate of Claremont High School comes to Kentucky with two years of eligibility remaining.
