Kentucky Softball Schedule for Shriners Children’s Invite Released
LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the second-straight year and the third time overall, the Kentucky Softball team will be participating in the ESPN Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational as the full schedule for the tournament has now been released by ESPN events.
Kentucky will play five games over a Thursday through Saturday stretch at the Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex with all five games being broadcast on the ESPN Family of Networks including ESPN, ESPN2, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPNU and ESPN+. The Wildcats will play twice on Thursday, Feb. 13 and Friday, Feb. 14 before closing out the tournament with one match Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats will play three postseason teams from a year ago, including two teams from last season’s Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma State and UCLA.
UK opens play Thursday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. ET against Wichita State before a 2 p.m. ET showdown against the Virginia Cavaliers, out of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Friday will see UK play the Clemson Tigers at 1 p.m. ET and a rematch from last season’s Stillwater Regional with Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. ET on Friday night.
Kentucky closes play in the event Saturday afternoon against perennial powerhouse UCLA at Noon ET on Saturday, Feb. 15.

The 16-team field for the 2025 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational Presented by EvoShield features 14 teams that qualified for the 2024 NCAA Tournament, including three teams that advanced to the Women’s College World Series.
Shriners Children’s returns as the title sponsor and EvoShield is back as the event’s presenting sponsor. Visit St. Pete-Clearwater marks its sixth season as the tournament’s civic sponsor. The programming schedule for the 2025 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational Presented by EvoShield will be announced at a later date.
