LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky dance team finished third in the nation in the Universal Dance Association Division IA Game Day competition, which finished on Friday afternoon.
Kentucky entered Friday’s finals in third place but was unable to climb any higher in the standings.
“I am so extremely proud of these dancers. They put a lot of hard work into this Gameday routine,” said UK head coach Dawn Walters. “The spirit and energy they displayed, was equivalent to what fans experience on every Kentucky game day. GO CATS!”
The Wildcats’ best-ever finish in the competition was second, which came in 2021.
Kentucky will compete in the Division 1A Hip Hop competition beginning on Saturday.
