No. 22 Kentucky Visits Northern Kentucky for Tuesday Midweek

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 22/23 Kentucky Wildcats will travel north to Highland Heights on Tuesday afternoon for a midweek contest against the Northern Kentucky Norse at 5 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+, ESPN3 and the ESPN app with the proper subscription. Additionally, live stats will be available thought the NKU Athletics’ website.
 
Kentucky enters the week with a 24-15 overall record on the season and sits a game above .500 at 8-7 in Southeastern Conference play. UK has lost three-straight SEC series, but still holds on to a spot in the top half of the SEC standings.
 
Tuesday afternoon marks one of just three midweek games remaining on the Wildcats schedule, as UK will face the Norse, Louisville and a second game with Eastern Kentucky in midweek contests this season to close out 2019.
 
Kentucky leads the all-time series 2-0 vs. NKU with the only two meetings coming in 2016 and 2017. The two teams were slated to play a game in 2018, but it was cancelled due to rain. Kentucky has won both meetings with the Norse with one coming in Lexington (W, 9-1, 2016) and in Highlands Heights (W, 2-1, 2017).
 
NKU enters the game with an 11-20 overall record on the season and is .500 in Horizon League play at 4-4. Last week, the Norse took two out of three from Wright State, as they have won two conference series in a row now.
