Kentucky’s NCAA Opening-Round Game Moved to Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The NCAA Softball’s Lexington Regional halted play on Friday prior to Kentucky’s opening game of the tournament.
 
The Wildcats will now face the Illinois-Chicago Flames on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET.
 
In the opening game of the Lexington Regional, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat Michigan, 4-1 to advance into the winner’s bracket game. With the delay, that game will now take place at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday.
 
Fans with tickets to Friday’s game will be accepted into John Cropp Stadium for the Kentucky/UIC game on Saturday morning.

Friday, May 18
Game 1 – Notre Dame def. Michigan 4-1

Saturday, May 19
Game 2 – Kentucky vs. UIC – 10 a.m. ET
Game 3 – Michigan vs. Loser Game 2 – 12:30 p.m. ET
Game 4 – Notre Dame vs. Winner Game 2 – 3 p.m. ET

Sunday, May 20
Game 5 – Winner Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4 – Noon ET
Game 6 – Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5 – 2:30 p.m. ET
 
Monday, May 21
Game 7 – (if necessary) – TBD
