LEXINGTON, Ky. – As excitement for the 2018-19 builds with the season drawing near, the SEC Network will take a look back at one of the biggest sparks to the early-season anticipation with a 30-minute special on the Kentucky men’s basketball’s foreign exhibition tour to the Bahamas.

The SEC Network will air “Big Blue in the Bahamas” at 9 p.m. on Sunday, immediately following UK’s Blue-White Game.

Fans will be treated to behind-the-scenes access for the Wildcats’ wildly successful trip in August. The show will feature interviews with head coach John Calipari and the players, mic’d up segments from the games, take fans inside team meetings, and be along for the ride as the players and staff enjoyed the amenities at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort – everything from the water park to a catamaran ride on the sea.

Shot and produced by the SEC Network, “Big Blue in the Bahamas” will also air at other to-be-determined times in the future.

Kentucky went 4-0 on the Bahamas trip against professional teams from Argentina, the Bahamas, Canada and Serbia. The Wildcats rolled in all four with an average margin of victory of 29.0 points per game. UK shot 49.8 percent from the floor, outrebounded its opponents by an average of 12.5 boards per game, dished out 17.0 assists per contest and committed just 11.3 turnovers, largely with a new team. Five Wildcats averaged double figures, led by freshman Tyler Herro with 17.3 points per game. PJ Washington averaged 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds, and Stanford graduate transfer Reid Travis averaged a double-double with 10.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

Before the “Big Blue in the Bahamas” show, the SEC Network will air UK’s Blue-White Game beginning at 7 p.m.
