LEXINGTON, Ky. – After a tough loss on Sunday afternoon to the No. 6 Georgia Bulldogs, the No. 18 Kentucky Wildcats will look to turn the page on Tuesday afternoon, as it hosts the Northern Kentucky Norse for an in-state affair at 6 p.m. ET from John Cropp Stadium in Lexington.

The game will be shown live on the SEC Network+, ESPN3 and the ESPN app with the Voice of the Wildcats, Dave Baker (pxp) and current National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association (NFCA) Executive Director, Carol Bruggeman (color) on the call.

Kentucky sits 13 games above the .500 mark entering the final eight games of the season at 28-15 overall on the year and a 5-12 mark in Southeastern Conference play. The Wildcats are ranked in the top 20 in both the NFCA Coaches’ Poll (20) and the USA Softball/ESPN.com Poll (18) in addition to the NCAA RPI (19).

Under the direction of third-year head coach Kathryn Gleason, the Norse are .500 on the year at 19-19 with a 6-10 record in the Horizon League. The Norse took the final two games to win its series this past weekend against Green Bay up in Highland Heights to fight back to .500 on the season. Senior Sydney Ferrante leads the offensive charge for the Norse with a .378 average, five home runs and 32 RBI. In the circle, it’s been a balanced attack this season, with Taylor Ginther and Ashlynn Roberts both collecting eight wins on the season in over 95 innings of work.

Kentucky will conclude its non-conference slate on Wednesday at Morehead State in a rescheduled game from earlier in the season due to inclement weather. The game will start at 3 p.m. ET from University Field in Morehead.

Morehead State is 23-15 on the year and 4-8 in their 12 Ohio Valley Conference games this season. Morehead split a two-game OVC series on the road this past weekend against the UT-Martin Skyhawks. The Eagles will play a doubleheader against Murray State on Tuesday before facing the Wildcats on Wednesday afternoon.

MSU is led in the circle by Chelsea McManaway with a 1.89 ERA and a 15-6 overall record on the season. Taylor Wheeler is hitting .341 to pace all Eagle hitters and has five home runs and 15 RBI.
