Baseball Announces Weekend Scrimmages

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky baseball team will hold three fall scrimmages over the weekend at Cliff Hagan Stadium, it was announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Kentucky will kick off the weekend with a 3 p.m. first pitch in a scrimmage on Friday, before hosting an 11 a.m. scrimmage on Saturday and a 12 p.m. scrimmage on Sunday.

The Wildcats return their entire weekend rotation from the 2015 season, including Friday-night starter Zack Brown and seniors Dustin Beggs and Kyle Cody. In addition, All-Southeastern Conference second baseman JaVon Shelby enters his junior season and is joined in the lineup by standout sophomore first baseman Evan White, a freshman All-SEC selection.
