The No. 40 University of Kentucky women’s tennis team will travel to University Park, Pa. to take on No. 50 Penn State University, Saturday, Feb 1 at 10 a.m. ET.

The Wildcats are coming off of a 4-0 loss to No. 10 Duke and are looking to turn the tide with a win against the Nittany Lions. Penn State and Kentucky have only met once in school history and that was last season in Lexington.  In a hard fought battle, PSU came out on top, 4-3, handing UK their first loss of the season.

Through four matches, juniors Stephanie Fox and Edmée Morin-Kougoucheff are undefeated in singles play to begin the season. Both have been solid and consistent on the court with Morin-Kougoucheff helping clinch the team’s first win of the season against Cincinnati and Fox getting the Wildcats’ first point against Tulane.

The Nittany Lions enter the match with a 3-1 record after falling to No. 19 Baylor, 7-0, last weekend in Waco, Texas. They are 3-0 at home for the season taking down Cleveland State, 5-2, and Bucknell, 6-1 in their season opener. The defeated the Navy, 7-0 before getting their first loss.
