LEXINGTON, Ky. –University of Kentucky divers Greg Ferrucci, John Fox and Lindsay Keahey advanced to the finals and placed in the top 12 for the second consecutive day of the Georgia Diving Invitational in Athens, Ga., Saturday.
Fox and Ferrucci placed ninth and tenth, respectively, in the finals of the men’s 1-meter after making the finals in the 3-meter on Friday. Keahey finished 12th in the women’s 3-meter final a day after she posted a 12th-place finish in the 1-meter final.
“Our guys were pretty steady today against some tough competition,” UK diving coach Ted Hautau said. “John dove confidently and consistently. Lindsay made the finals against a good field again today and she’s figuring out how to compete.”
Fox finished ninth with a score of 327.10 in the finals, over 35 points higher than his preliminary round score. Ferrucci was just behind Fox with a 320.05 in the finals after a 296.90 in the prelims.
