Kentucky landed back in both The Associated Press Top 25 and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll this week after an 11-week absence. The Cats are 22nd in the AP poll and No. 25 in the Coaches poll this week after knocking off No. 8 Florida and Mississippi State last week.
UK owns the best record in Southeastern Conference play and holds a 4-4 record against teams in this week’s Top 25.
The Cats were the last team to defeat No. 1 North Carolina, handing the Tar Heels their second-worst loss in the Dean Dome with the 93-76 thumping. Since then, UNC has won its last 18 games and has been at the top of the polls for the past two weeks.
The Cats are on a five-game win streak and travel to Knoxville, Tenn., on Wednesday to take on the #15/13 Tennessee Volunteers.
