Women’s Tennis Set for Sunday Conference Home Opener

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis (6-5, 0-2 SEC) will open its home Southeastern Conference schedule on Sunday at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center against Vanderbilt (5-4, 0-2 SEC) at Noon EST.

The Wildcats look to continue their strong start to the spring which has included wins over ETSU, Miami (OH), Penn State, Charlotte, Wichita State and Eastern Kentucky. UK is undefeated at home so far this spring.

Kentucky enters the Sunday matinee after beginning SEC play on the road last weekend against the No. 12 Auburn Tigers and No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide resulting in two losses. The Commodores also enter Sunday’s match with two conference losses to Alabama and Auburn.
