High School: Joiner is a Kentucky native who played for Christian County High School … A catcher, as a junior she batted .556 which is the highest single-season average in school history … She was Miss Kentucky Softball in 2011 while also being named the 2011 Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year … Was named a first-team All-State selection her junior and senior seasons, while she was the 2nd Region Player of the Year her senior year … Joiner made the 2010 KHSAA State Tournament All-Tournament Team … She owns high school record with 293 hits, 30 home runs, 66 doubles and 216 RBI … Was a member of the Academic All-State First Team in 2010 and 2011 … She was a member of the Honor Society and the Beta Club at Christian County … 2011 Salutatorian of Christian County High School … Parents are David and Suzanne Joiner … Dad played baseball and basketball at Vanderbilt … Dad also played minor league baseball in the New York Mets organization.
