(8) Florida vs. (9) Kentucky Postponed in SEC Tournament
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Due to the weather in the Fayetteville, Arkansas area, the Southeastern Conference Softball Tournament first round game featuring (8) Florida and (9) Kentucky will not be played as scheduled Wednesday night.
Instead, the Wildcats will kick off its SEC Tournament run at a time to be determined after the league office evaluates how much softball it can play tonight. The SEC will announce Thursday’s schedule later tonight after all play is concluded.
The tournament was in the top of the eighth inning with South Carolina and Texas A&M, the second game of the day, when lightning was detected in the area and the game was postponed. The tournament committee has decided to proceed with Wednesday night’s first night session game of (5) Alabama and (13) Mizzou, which will begin 35 minutes after the conclusion of SC/TAMU.
