Team Records and Series Notes
• Kentucky is 12-4 overall.  Vanderbilt is 11-4, with today’s loss breaking a six-game winning streak.
• This was the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams.  Kentucky is now 59-17 in SEC lidlifters and has won 20 of the last 22.
• Kentucky leads the series, 131-42.
• Kentucky returns to action Tuesday at Tennessee in a 9 p.m. game that will be televised on ESPN.

First-Half Notes

• Today’s season-high attendance was 24,249.
• UK used the starting lineup of Michael Porter, Jodie Meeks, Ramon Harris, Perry Stevenson and Patrick Patterson for the seventh time this season, the first time since the Lamar game on Dec. 3.
• UK lost the opening tip for only the fourth time this season.
• Tied at eight, Vanderbilt went on an 8-0 run for the Commodores’ largest lead of the game at 16-8.
• Kentucky rallied late in the half, scoring the final seven points to take a 31-27 lead at intermission.
• UK extended its streak of 689 consecutive games making a three-pointer.

Second-Half Notes
• The Wildcats were leading 42-35 when UK went on a 13-0 run.  That extended the lead to 20 points at 55-35 with just under 10 minutes remaining in the game.
• Trailing by 19 points at 62-43, Vanderbilt rallied to pull within six at 64-58 with 1:25 to go.
• However, the Commodores got no closer than six as the Wildcats got six consecutive foul shots, four from Michael Porter and two from Jodie Meeks, to claim the 70-60 victory.

Team Notes
• Kentucky held Vanderbilt to 31.6 percent from the field.  UK is 11-0 this season when limiting the opponent under 40 percent from the field.
• UK’s 70 points and 43.6 percent field-goal shooting are the second-best marks allowed by Vanderbilt in a game this season.
• UK had just 12 turnovers, the second-lowest total of the season.  A sore spot for the Cats earlier in the season, UK has averaged just 13.2 miscues over the last four games.
• Kentucky made 16 of 19 free throws today, 84.2 percent. UK leads the SEC in free-throw shooting at 78.7 pecent.
• Vanderbilt’s leading scorer, center A.J. Ogilvy (16.5 points per game), did not play today.  UK took advantage by outscoring the Commodores in the paint, 32-20.

Individual Game Notes
• Kentucky had balanced scoring today with four Wildcats tallying in double figures.
• Jodie Meeks led all scorers with 21 points.
o He has scored in double figures every game this season.
o He has nine 20-point games this season.
o It was his third-straight game of 20 or more points.  The last Wildcat to do that was when Ramel Bradley notched five straight 20-point efforts last season.
o He made all eight foul shots today, extending a streak of 20 consecutive free throws made.  He’s also made 60 of his last 64 (.938) dating back to the Kansas State game.
• Ramon Harris scored 12 points, making all five shots from the field, including a pair of three-pointers.  Harris and Jodie Meeks had team-high honors in rebounds (seven) and assists (three).
• After playing only 10 minutes in the first half because of foul trouble, Patrick Patterson scored nine of his 11 points in the second half.   He also had three of UK’s seven blocked shots as the Wildcats have totaled 15 rejections over the last two games.
