Played in all 31 games … Averaged 4.0 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.1 bpg and 0.6 apg in 12.5 mpg … Her 33 blocks are ranked fifth on Kentucky’s freshman season records list … Her 1.1 bpg were ranked 11th in the league in the final statistics … She scored 10+ points three times and 15+ points once … She led the team in scoring once, in steals twice and in blocks seven times … Two times on the season she went a perfect 6-of-6 from the field, including in the season opener against USC Upstate on Nov. 4 and against LSU on Feb. 23 … Some of her other season highs included 18 points against Northern Kentucky on Nov. 7, eight rebounds against LSU on Fb. 23 and six blocks against USC Upstate on Nov. 4.

Clara Silva, a 6-7 center from Faro, Portugal, played three seasons for Unicaja in the Spain-LF Challenge league … The 2023-24 season was still in progress when she signed at Kentucky on April 18, 2024, but at the time, she played in 30 games and averaged 9.1 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game and 1.2 blocks per game … Perhaps one of her most impressive performances of that season came in a win over Maresme in November 2023, when she scored 28 points on 13-of-19 from the field and recorded 12 rebounds and four assists … Silva represented Portugal in the 2021 FIBA U16 Women’s European Challengers, 2022 FIBA U16 Women’s European Championship and 2023 FIBA U18 Women’s European Championship … In Summer 2023 at FIBA, she played in seven games, averaging 18.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.6 assists … According to the FIBA website, Silva was one of “Nine players who stood out at #FIBAU18Europe” … In November 2023, Shane Laflin from ESPN said this about Silva, “If she was a player in the U.S., she’d safely land in the top 10 in the recruiting rankings. She is mobile with a nice touch, smoothly moves without the ball, and has an array of footwork and finishing around the rim.” … Before that, in July 2023, Mike Robinson from The Ball Out noted this about her, “Depending on whom you ask, Silva might be the best center prospect in her class.”
