2001 – Named second team All-MAC… Team co-captain, started all 21 games for the Cats… Member of defensive corps that surrendered just 15 goals on the year to finish ninth in the nation with a 0.67 goals-against average… Sixth on the team with 11 points on four goals and three assists… Scored on three of three penalty kicks this season, two at Western Michigan and one at Northern Illinois… Scored Cats second goal in 7-0 rout of Georgetown (Ky.) College.

2000 – Started all 21 games in which he played… Moved to defender from the midfield and helped provide the Cats with one of the nation?s stingiest defenses… Hit one of the Cats? four penalty kicks in shootout with No. 9 Saint Louis to help UK advance to second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history… Scored game-winning goal in season opener against Louisville to give the Cats their 100th win in school history… Also tallied an assist in 3-0 win over UNC Asheville… Named to Nike Carolina Classic and MAC All-Tournament teams… Member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll.

1999 – Made an immediate impact at UK and was one of only two players to start all 21 games for the Cats… Was third on team in assists (5) and points (11)… Scored three goals, all game-winners, with his first coming in his first collegiate game… Picked up two assists in 6-0 blowout of Marshall… Contributed to both goals in 2-0 win over Eastern Michigan notching a goal and an assist.

Pre-College – A four-year letterman at Holland Hall High, where he registered 62 assists and 16 goals… Holds Holland High record for assists… Two-year team MVP… All-Conference and All-North-Zone Selection… Played for Tulsa Pride club team, serving as captain for two years… Selected MVP of the Southeast Regional and NSCAA All-Southwest Region with the Pride… Member of Honor Roll… Chose UK over Tulsa, Georgetown and Cincinnati because UK ?has a great academic and soccer atmosphere.?

Personal – Born Nov. 29, 1979, in Redondo Beach, Calif…. Son of Bethany and David Stephenson… Enjoys volunteer work and art in his spare time.
