  • Taylor Kolste (last name is pronounced COAL-stee) is in his first season in 2024 as a graduate assistant at Kentucky, working closely with the quarterbacks and offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan.
  • Came to the Bluegrass after a short stint as the wide receivers coach at Utah Tech (2024) and two seasons (2022 and 2023) at Boise State under Hamdan.
  • Spent the 2023 season as the offensive analyst for quarterbacks and the 2022 season as a quality control coach for quarterbacks, helped the offense at Boise State rank second in scoring offense and third in total offense both seasons.
  • Also in 2023, Boise State won the regular-season Mountain West Conference championship, its fifth title in school history, behind quarterback Taylen Green’s impressive play … The sophomore signal caller threw for 1,752 yards for 11 scores, while running for 436 yard and nine TDs … Led the Mountain West and ranked ninth national with a 14.48 yards per completion average.
  • Prior to his time at BSU, was an assistant quarterbacks coach and later an assistant wide receivers coach during a two-year stint at Southern Utah (2020-21).
  • Garnered additional experience at Eastern Washington in the spring of 2022 as a defensive quality control coach.
  • Four-year letter winner and team captain as a wide receiver at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington.
  • Named All-Northwest Conference as a senior after catching 43 passes for 439 yards with five receiving touchdowns.
  • Two-time winner of the team’s Commitment to Excellence Award (2018 and 2019).
  • Earned a degree in kinesiology with a minor in coaching from Whitworth in May of 2020.
  • Currently working on a master’s degree in kinesiology and health promotion from UK.
  • The Oak Harbor, Washington native has authored two books titled “Breaking Down the 2018 LA Rams Offense” and “Breaking Down the 2018 Kansas City Chiefs Offense.”
