Just steps away from the Joe Craft Center, the Wildcat Coal Lodge provides living space for Kentucky basketball players and managers, as well as other UK students.
 
Outside the Wildcat Coal Lodge is a 400-pound bronze statue of former Kentucky head coach Joe B. Hall (1973-85) meant to honor and commemorate the national championship coach, who helped bring about the idea of the Wildcat Lodge.
 
The Wildcat Coal Lodge opened before the 2012-13 season, replacing the previous Wildcat Lodge located on the other side of the Joe Craft Center.
 
Equipped with an eating area, pool table and a theater-style lounge area, the lodge is located just across the street from UK’s academic buildings.
