School Record Holder – Discus Throw

2002: Outdoor – Set the school record in the discus with a toss of 167-08.00 at the SEC Championships to finish sixth and provisionally qualify for the NCAA meet…Took first-place honors at the Gatorade Classic with a throw of 164-03.00…Also won the discus title at the Long Beach Classic. Indoor – Competed in the shot put, taking fifth at the Rod McCravy Memorial with a personal-best throw of 44-08.25.

2001: Outdoor – Set a personal best in the discus at the SEC Five-Way Meet with a toss of 166-02.00 to set a UK record…Won the discus title at the Cardinal Invitational…Finished third at the SEC Championships to earn All-SEC honors in discus. Indoor – Had a personal-best throw of 41-10.00 in the shot put at the SEC Quad Meet.

High School: Won the Kansas Class AAAA State Discus Championship with a state record throw of 150-07.00 as a senior… Ranked 11th nationally in the discus by Track & Field News in 2000 with a personal-best toss of 159-03.00… Also played basketball and volleyball… Member of the National Honor Society and honor roll.

Personal: Born Dec. 1, 1981… Parents are Susan Campbell and Pat Lonergan… Major is kinesiology.
