2002: First collegiate appearance came in UK’s 9-8 extra-inning loss to Washington State in the Continental Express Aggie Baseball Classic in College Station, Texas (2/25)… Was used primarily has a pinch runner… First career hit came in a 19-7 Southeastern Conference win at Vanderbilt (5/11)… Singled and knocked in a run against No. 11 Florida (5/18).

2001: Redshirt season.

High School: Lettered seven seasons under coach Mac Whitaker at Harrison County… Recorded a career batting average of .355… Member of 1997 & 1998 state championship teams…Two-time All-State selection…Named to the Final Four All-Tournament Team in 1996, 1997 & 1998… Regional and Sectional All-Tournament Teams in 1995… Participated in Pan American Games as a fifteen-year-old.
