2014 (Sophomore): CS360 National Team of the Week (10/22) … Has started in every match this season … Has one goal and two assists … Has taken six shots with two on frame … Scored her season’s only goal against Ohio … Had the assist on UK’s opening goal against Francis Marion … Had the assist on UK’s game-winning goal against Auburn, heading the ball from the corner back across the fave of goal where Zoe Swift finished it off … Now a full-time member of the UK backline as a centerback after playing every game of her career as a midfielder … Scored against Georgia off a corner kick for her second goal of the season on a header … Career-high minutes vs. SIUE.

2013 (Freshman): Has appeared in 14 games this season … Scored first-career goal against Dayton toput UK up 1-0 in the match … Has moved from a forward to start the season to amidfielder … Returned from ankle injury vs. Missouri … Scored UK’s third goal in74th minute vs. LSU off set piece … Played a career-high 70 minutes at South Carolina.

Pre-college:Joined the team when the spring semester began on Jan. 12. Carter comes to Lexington from Conway, Ark …Played her club soccer for the Arkansas Rush under the direction of Matt Mittelstaedt, where she was part of three State Cup championship-winning teams (2008, 09, 10), as well as collecting two Presidents’ Cup championships in 2011 and 2012 …Specializes in center mid, was a member of the Olympic Development Program in 2008, 09, 10 and 11 all while collecting an all-region spot on ODP in 2009, 10 and 11 … Also has experience in playing with the best the country has to offer, as she was selected to the US Women’s National Team in 2009, while also earning a spot in the Puma Elite Camp … The daughter of Todd and Michelle Carter, Alex is undecided on her major.

What is one food that there is not enough money in the world that you would try? Any kind of animal heart

What would your teammates be surprised to know about you? I was homeschooled in the 4th grade.

What is your most prized possession? I wouldn’t trade my family for anything.

What’s your favorite word to use when talking about people, good or bad? I’m not sure. If I really like person, it tends to be because they are funny or just a great person in general. So I would probably comment on something about that.

What is your guilty midnight snack? Anything chocolate
