Kentucky, NC State Square Off in Ally Tipoff in Charlotte on Sunday, Nov. 8
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky and NC State women’s basketball programs will square off in the Ally Tipoff at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Sunday, Nov. 8, it was announced by the Charlotte Sports Foundation on Thursday.
It is currently the fourth Atlantic Coast Conference opponent on Kentucky’s nonconference schedule in 2026-27.

The Ally Tipoff also will feature a matchup between South Carolina and North Carolina.
More nonconference game announcements are expected in the coming days. Ticket information, tip times and the TV designations for the entire schedule also will be released soon.
The Wildcats trail the Wolfpack, 2-5, in the all-time series. The Cats, who have lost the last three straight meetings in 2023, 2019 and 1995, the previous two of which were to ranked teams, last earned a win over the Pack on Dec. 28, 1984 in a 78-69 outcome on the road.
Kentucky’s roster, which includes four returners, four transfers, three freshmen and a 2025 WNBA Draft pick in Ajša Sivka, is ranked ninth in the nation, according to On3’s Preseason Rankings.
All-American and Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Finalist Clara Strack returns for her senior season – and fourth season under Brooks – in 2026-27.
She concluded her junior season with 16.9 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 2.53 bpg, 1.89 apg and 1.22 spg, becoming the first player in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history to record these totals: 607 points, 365 rebounds, 91 blocks, 68 assists, 44 steals and 25 3s in one season.
Brooks also retained shooting star Asia Boone, who will return for her senior season. Amelia Hassett ultimately broke the individual single-season school record in 3FGM (99) last season, Boone ended the season with 96 3FGM, which is not only the second-most in program history, but the second-most by an SEC player last season based on final statistics.
Kentucky’s roster also boasts the No. 6 freshman class, ranked by ESPN, including a trio of McDonald’s All-Americans in Maddyn Greenway, Savvy Swords and Emily McDonald. It also boasts the No. 6 transfer class, ranked by On3, which features 6-4 junior forward Me’Arah O’Neal (Florida), 6-2 redshirt junior forward Ayanna Patterson (UConn), 5-10 senior guard Diana Collins (Alabama) and 5-4 junior guard Jemma Amoore (IU-Indianapolis).

Season ticket renewals for the upcoming season are now available. Fans can sign into their UK Athletics Accounts to renew their season tickets by Friday, Aug. 28. Fans who were not previously season ticket holders are interested for the upcoming season can place a $0 deposit through their UK Athletics Account to secure a spot in line, and the UK Ticket Office will be in touch this fall.
