BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The highly anticipated return of the University of Kentucky women’s basketball team will come with some strong tests in Southeastern Conference play once again, with the squad beginning their league campaign in Gainesville and wrapping things up at home in Historic Memorial Coliseum. UK’s conference schedule was unveiled by the league office on Tuesday and includes some big matchups. 

The program will add numerous nonconference games to its schedule soon, while all TV designations and tip times will be announced at a later date. 

Kentucky will square off with conference foes 16 times during the SEC regular season, which includes eight home games and eight away games.  

For the third straight season, Kentucky will meet just one conference opponent for a home-and-home contest – and this season that will be Tennessee – a change made after the addition of Texas and Oklahoma. 

In head coach Kenny Brooks’ first two years at the helm of the Wildcats, UK has combined for a 48-19 record overall. Within the gauntlet of league play, Brooks has maintained a winning SEC record of 19-13 through two complete seasons in addition to a Sweet Sixteen run in 2025-26.  

In 2025-26, the Wildcats saw a sixth-place finish in the SEC by the end of the season. Last year the squad saw highlights as they handed No. 5/5 LSU its first loss of the season on opening night down in Baton Rouge on New Year’s Day in buzzer-beating fashion, a home win over No. 5/5 Oklahoma while being down a starter, allowing the lowest points scored for South Carolina all season in their matchup in Lexington, and much more. 

This season, they will open SEC play on the road on New Year’s Eve in Gainesville, against Florida. That same week, they will come back home to host Auburn in the first game of 2027, on Jan. 3. 

On Jan. 7 UK will travel to Missouri, then head home as the Wildcats prepare for the Texas Longhorns to come to town on Jan. 10. Historic Memorial Coliseum will also host Arkansas on Jan. 14 before the first of two byes. 

Following the bye, Kentucky will host Tennessee for the first of two matchups against the Lady Vols on Jan. 21. Then, they will head to Oklahoma on Jan. 24. 

Continuing the middle stretch of the schedule, the Wildcats will play host to Alabama on Jan. 28 before heading to South Carolina to take on the 2026 National Runner-Ups on Jan. 31 to round out the month. 

Another big rematch is on the table from a season ago as the squad takes on LSU at home on Feb. 4, then taking two road trips to visit the Bulldogs of UGA on Feb. 7 and the Ole Miss Rebels on Feb. 11. 

Each team in the SEC receives a Monday game during the regular season, and before the second bye for the Wildcats, they will host Vanderbilt on Monday, Feb. 15.  

As UK reaches towards March, they round things out by travelling to Tennessee on Feb. 21 and Texas A&M on Feb. 25 prior to the last game of the season at home vs. Mississippi State on Feb. 28.  

Following the SEC regular season, the 2027 SEC Tournament returns to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, from March 3-7.

Season Ticket Information 

Season ticket renewals for the upcoming season are now available. Fans can sign into their UK Athletics Accounts to renew their season tickets by Friday, Aug. 28. Fans who were not previously season ticket holders are interested for the upcoming season can place a $0 deposit through their UK Athletics Account to secure a spot in line, and the UK Ticket Office will be in touch this fall.
